This was the second piece I painted for this exhibition. I’ve painted various versions of this neighborly little robot before (except not so big). I originally wanted him marching off to an important robot function, but after I got his basic figure on canvas, I realized his gait was more of a stroll than a march. So I added the houses and pets and, voila, he’s walking his pets around the neighborhood.
Robort wrapped slug dog’s leash around his leg in an attempt to stage an accident for the insurance money. That’s why he’s got that smug look on his face.
